Ad-hoc Announcement: Agricultural plant with roof-integrated photovoltaic system: systaic AG raises sales forecast following commissioning for major project
Enerparc AG, a subsidiary of systaic AG, has been commissioned today by Agrisol Is Fenugus S.r.L. Societa Agrigola, Cagliari, to build a greenhouse complex with a roof-integrated photovoltaic system. The agreement was concluded subject to the usual provisos. The future agricultural plant comprises a farmed area of 405,032 sqm, photovoltaic capacity of 32,550 kilowatt peak and a contract volume of EUR 130 million. On annual average, 47 million kilowatt hours of solar power will be generated. Part of the electricity will be used directly on-site to operate the greenhouses. Completion and commissioning are expected for December 2009. Enerparc is to install an overall volume of up to 150 megawatt peak in Sardinia.
systaic AG is therefore adjusting its forecast for the current financial year, particularly also as sales in the first half of 2009 are expected to surpass the 100-million Euro mark. Growth in sales (previous outlook: EUR 260 million) and profit is anticipated to outstrip previous expectations in 2009. The company is now predicting revenues to increase to beyond EUR 300 million (sales 2008: EUR 200 million) in the current financial year. The operating profit (EBIT) is anticipated to grow correspondingly.
