Udo Zimmer to become new CFO of systaic AG
The Supervisory Board of systaic AG has engaged Udo Zimmer as Chief Financial Officer with effect from 1 January 2010. The 47-year-old has been appointed for a period of four years. In future he will be responsible for Finance & Controlling, Investor Relations, Legal, Human Resources, IT and Purchasing.
From 1996 to 2007 Zimmer was Financial Director of Augusta Technologie AG, a technology group listed in the Prime Standard. He has extensive experience in the capital market and over the past 15 years has effected and integrated more than 30 acquisitions worldwide. Prior to his employment at Augusta he spent several years with commercial management responsibilities in two medium-sized enterprises in the packaging industry and traffic control systems sector. From February 2007 to November 2009 he was engaged in projects in the private equity sector, most recently with responsibility for mergers and acquisitions at a family-owned holding company.
Udo Zimmer succeeds Heiko Piossek (53), who has been a member of the Executive Board since April 2008. Heiko Piossek and the Supervisory Board have agreed upon the premature termination of his contract as of the end of this year. From 2010, he will take up a new professional challenge. Both the Supervisory and Executive Boards would like to express their appreciation to Heiko Piossek for his successful work.
